My Dad
I just figured out why I was up at 5am Monday morning calling the rehab center after I had said a prayer: I asked an angel to look over my Dad that night and day, the angel came back a few minutes later and I asked why, It told me, "Angels don't watch other Angels." My dad was our "Angel" Even though we weren't close by he was always checking on me and my kids to see "Whats going on now?" I'll miss those conversations when I'd call to check on him and he'd say wait a minute, your moms going to church or to walk the dog and we can talk. His family came first, and as many times as I said your 75 and you need to slow down, they both just keep on going. Yes we miss him and he's in our hearts always, but I'm sure he will be missed by many.
.
Don was such a solid blessing to me and our family. I have loved and been inspired by his passion for life and for anything he was talking about, like our most recent conversation catching up on family, fishing and health news. One of my first memories of Don and Kathy was going to their 25th anniversary - fun!...this year Jack and I have our 25th. Cousins, we love you and will keep Don and all of you in our prayers. Dona, maybe it won't be too long before we can get us and the kids together....
Peace,
Connie and family
Don was a wonderful man, son of my father Joe Kochanski's sister Edna. I visited him and Kathy on Long Island a couple of times, and he came down to Washington when my father died. Memories of him are a blessing to me, as I hope they are to all he left behind.
The last time we were together was at your house during Aunt Alice's (Blydenburgh) funeral. As always, being with you and Kathy was always a special time. You will be sorely missed by us, as well as by all who knew and loved you. For myself, I will always treasure sharing messages with my buddy, "Donpor". Go with God, Donnie, and enjoy the reward that must be yours. BTW: Please keep the rest of us in your heart. It's good to know we'll have another loved one pulling for us in His presence. Our hearts go out to Kathy and family.
Thank you for posting these wonderful pictures of Don and his family. What a tribute! He was a handsome man with so much love for his family and friends - and he certainly enjoyed life. He was a delight.
My condolences to all of the family and may your memories of him carry you through the rest of your lives.
Don, cousin and friend. A classic American family man with a big, loving heart. With Kathy, he was responsible for bringing us together and we'll always have a special place in our hearts for him. We always laughed and had fun every time we got together. May you find the joy, peace, and contentment you so richly deserve. You will be greatly missed.
With Love, Jon & Berna
Dear Dad, I love you sooo much! You are out of pain now, are in peace and comfort, looking down on us and still watching out for us and being our "protector"....catch a big fish, reel it in pain free and find an old friend to tell and trade your tall tales with, I will miss you always, till we meet again......all my love Dona
Don will be missed terribly. We will miss his wonderful stories. He would call once a week and share so much with us.We are so sorry that we can't attend the services, our health won't allow it.Don's death brought tears to our eyes,he was a brother and brother in law and friend as well.
We can't find the words to lesson the pain of his departure, because he meant a great deal to everyone.
All I can say at this time is Don walk with the angels,go fishing on the other side Spread your wings and fly.
We will always love you
Brother Mike
Sister Paula
